IELTS, International English Language Testing System, is worldwide used and mostly preferred English examination in order to define English language proficiency of the people requiring having education or work in English language used foundations. Throughout the world, IELTS is accepted by more than 9000 foundations and institutions including state, academic and employment establishments. Moreover, IELTS is the only examination accepted by the countries stipulating English proficiency for immigration.
IELTS is designed for you to use English in your new life abroad. Less than a three hours period, your skills of listening, reading, writing, and speaking in English shall be evaluated.
IELTS is composed of 44 parts:
Listening (30-45 Minutes),
Reading (60 Minutes),
Writing (60 Minutes)
Speaking (11-14 Minutes).
Total duration of the exam is 2 hours and 45 minutes. Listening, Reading and Writing exams are applied in one period, and Speaking exam is made on the same day or 3 days before or after the exam.
IELTS is made up of 2 modules: Academic and General Training. Academic exam is appropriate for the candidates demanding education in English speaking countries. General Training module is for the candidates needing English for the purposes of working experience, educational programmes, or immigration procedures in English speaking countries.
To evaluate and define the consistent score, 9 band scoring system is used. There is no ‘passed’ or ‘failed’ scoring in IELTS. Every education foundation or organisation make their own IELTS scoring regulation. Exam Score Documents are valid for 2 (two) years. You may take the exam as many times as you want. You are free to use any of your scores.
Exam results are declared at the 13th day after the exam. Your resulting score document is sent your given address by postal mail on the declaration day.

As a result of the changes by OSYM on the Equivalence Table for Foreign Language Testing Systems, there is no accreditation for IELTS. However, many private foundations and institutions accept IELTS scores for the such cases as education, employment, promotion, or language allowance.
